Energy Eye Mexico recently finished its installation of the 400 room Starwood Westin Resort and Spa, Cancun. This was the second largest installation of an Energy Eye System and included many upgraded features including dual sliding door balcony control and digital thermostat replacement.

We are very pleased with the quality and operation of the installation as this was a complicated property with large rooms and concrete construction. The entire installation was completed in 5 weeks while the hotel was operating without disrupting the guests.

Energy Eye President Phillip Kopp notes "The hotel was very concerned about humidity in the rooms, which is a big problem in the Mayan Riviera. Several energy management systems were tested in the hotel and Energy Eye was selected due to its superior suppression of humidity. The hotel has a strict policy that the humidity in the rooms cannot exceed 65%. A special software program was designed for the hotel to ensure this and the Energy Eye System even outperformed other EMS thermostat products which advertise built in humidistat control."
