Ciudad Obregon, Sonora Mexico August, 2006 -
Energy Eye™ is making great headway into the Mexico market, as our Sales Division TRK SA de RL enters distribution contracts with two major energy consulting firms and the first complete Holiday Inn installation.
Sonora Consultores en Ahorro de Energía of Hermosillo, in Sonora state are responsible for the sale and installation of the Holiday Inn, Ciudad Obregon. After an initial consultation including the installation of a sample room the hotel was quite pleased with the operation of the system. The hotel has previously been the recipient of the highest award offered to hotels for energy conservation by Mexican authorities. This forward minded thinking has led them to the conclusion that an EMS like Energy Eye™ is a practical and viable way to increase energy efficiencies.
Sr. Demetrio Tessada is the Managing Director or TRK and felt it was an important milestone for our business development. Sr. Tessada commented that "it is a great achievment for us, this installation will utilize the excellent fincancing programs afforded to our customers by FIDE, the federal program for energy reduction in Mexico. FIDE has fully accepted our products and is offering excellent financing programs to our customers, such as the Holiday Inn Obregon."
TRK has also secured distribution through CAMSA, a reputible energy consulting firm in Mexico City. Negotiations with several major hotel entities including the largest chains in Mexico are ongoing and the prospects look increadibly promising.
Energy Eye, Inc. President Phillip Kopp has put a lot of resources into developing the Mexico market as it has great potential. After attending the first consultation on site he stated that "I am very excited about Mexico. It has taken a lot of time and effort to build the necessary momentum here in a generally closed market but the results are starting to show. Our efforts in collaboration with TRK are being rewarded with a warm welcome. It is often a tricky business down South but the old adage holds true that hard work pays off. It is not a question of just knowing the right people but also putting in the time, making handshakes and showing that you really care about the customer. It also helps to have a good understanding of the language and culture!"
Energy Eye looks forward to more good news from Mexico.
