The EYEPOWER Solution is the only platinum certified solution currently available on the marketplace. That’s because our unique occupancy detection technology ensures the highest energy savings, as well as the highest level of guest comfort.
All HVAC energy management solutions function based on room occupancy. When guests leave a room, the solution automatically sets the thermostat back to a more energy-conserving temperature. The system returns to the guests’ settings when they return to the room.
Very simply, in order to be an effective occupancy-based system, the single most important piece of information for the solution to know is—without a doubt—if a room is occupied or not. And the single most effective way to do this is with the use of a combination of sensors, including an entry door monitor and one or more occupancy sensors.
Without the combination of an entry door monitor and occupancy sensors, you are compromised: either the system must take a lengthy period of time to determine if a room is unoccupied, or it must risk the occupants’ comfort while they are sleeping. If the system must take a lengthy period of time to determine occupancy, then its ability to achieve energy savings is lowered dramatically. So systems that don’t use a combination of sensors to determine occupancy will either create unnecessary guest discomfort or less than optimal energy savings.
The EYEPOWER Solution is the only system that offers a combination of entry door monitors and wireless radio frequency sensors. Energy Eye was the first company to offer wireless radio frequency motion sensors in the industry. This is critical to higher energy savings, because systems whose occupancy detection relies on a thermostat-based sensor are not effective at accurately detecting occupancy. This is especially true if the thermostat is placed in an area that doesn’t have a line of sight towards the bedding, such as in a entry way or hallway, or near the far window in the case of a vertical riser-based air handler.
