Energy Eye was founded in 2001 to meet the increased demand from the hospitality industry for simple guestroom energy savings solutions. Today, Energy Eye is a wholly owned subsidiary of Somfy Group.

Energy Eye’s mission is to help our hospitality clients increase the value, performance and prestige of their properties by providing them with high-performance, economical energy management solutions that will universally integrate with their existing and new hotel systems.

Established as an international leader in hospitality energy management solutions, Energy Eye offers EYEPOWER™, the only HVAC solution that has been rigorously tested for performance and is platinum certified by GGEC, the Globally Green Energy Consortium—an internationally recognized non-profit certification body that sets standards for product performance in the energy industry. Because of its platinum certification, EYEPOWER is the only HVAC energy management solution that is guaranteed and insured to deliver up to 35% energy savings—higher energy savings than any other solution in the industry can deliver.

The EYEPOWER Solution is currently being successfully used by hotels and resorts ranging from under 30 rooms to over 600 rooms, across the U.S., as well as in Mexico, the Caribbean, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Flexible and scalable, the EYEPOWER solution has been installed in limited service, extended stay, luxury boutiques, four-star resorts and one of the world’s foremost luxury hotels.

In April 2009, Energy Eye was acquired by Somfy Group, the world leader in automated openings and closures in homes and buildings. Somfy is the #1 global manufacturer of specialized motors and control systems for retractable awnings, rolling shutters, interior shades, blinds, projection screens and other lift-up applications for the home and commercial buildings.
