Energy Eye™ Corporate President Kopp ventured down into Baja Mexico in order to present the Energy Eye™ System and discuss general energy management practices. Local hotel owners, managers and engineers were present alongside our Mexico Distributor Jorge Lopez of Inglobalsis and Ing. Sanchez Hatz of Ayre de Mexico.

The meeting took place in the Canaco Building in the central business district of Mexicali, the areas largest metropol area. Over 15 hotels were represented at the meeting including most of the larger properties from the area.

"It was an amazing experience," says Kopp who gave the one hour presentation completely in Spanish. "I really didn't know what to expect. Jorge (Lopez) from Inglobalsis translated this presentation for me and I thought my Spanish was up to par. After the presentation we had a gentleman ask us why el Presidente had to read his presentation off of a paper. Jorge (Lopez) replied that he (Kopp) wasn't a Spanish speaker and the clapping ensued! It was great to feel like I had an audience that was truly interested." Kopp continues, "It was even more amazing to see the level of sophistication from the hotel operators. They are all very energy conscious however they had never really been approached about room controls, it was great to see the positive reactions when they knew there was finally a solution!"

After the presentation attendees were invited back to the Ayre de Mexico company headquarters for h'ordeurves, drinks and a little relaxation. The Mexicali Hotel and Motel Association Director was present and agreed to let us present at one of their future meetings. This was especially useful since Energy Eye™ was given the opportunity to test its products for savings measures in three hotel properties as a result of the presentation and can present that data at the Association meeting in several weeks.

This is a much anticipated and very successful entrance into the important Mexico market.
